2 Month Checkup!

I love this picture. Brandon was trying to put Breelyn to bed and they both fell asleep.
Today was Breelyn's 2 month checkup. The Dr.'s office was out of the shots she needed so she did not get any shots. Her new stats are:
Weight: 12 lbs. 4 oz. (the 90 percentile)
Length: 22 in. (25 percentile) So, she is short and stocky.
Head: 38 cm. (25 percentile)
She smiles alot. Wiggles alot. And has a little bit more hair!

Breelyn's Blessing Dress
Breelyn's Blessing Dress. When I found this Dress it's design was called 'Brie' So I took it as a sign that Breelyn should have this dress as her blessing dress. :) Her daddy picked out the hairbow. I think he did a good job and then her shoes were perfect. She literally fell asleep after this very first picture they took and would not wake up for anything. I lightly sprayed water at her and clapped my hands and sang and she slept right through. Completely passed out. By the time I tried again I couldn't button the dress up on her it was too small. So this is the only blessing dress picture I have. :)

ZOO BOO
On Saturday we took Breelyn and Tristan to the Zoo Boo in Ross Park. Breelyn slept the whole time but Tristan loved it! Tristan had fun seeing all the "pup-pups" (anything with fur).

Breelyn's Birth Story
Breelyn's Birth Story: I'll make it quick.
On the morning of September 7, 2008 just a few minutes after 12:00 a.m. I was getting out of bed to use the restroom put both feet on the ground and Gush! My water broke. I whispered "Brandon, Brandon. My water broke." He quickly stuck his head up, still half asleep. "What do you want me to do." Me, "Nothing i'm going to go take a shower." He went back to sleep and I went and got in the shower as contractions started coming. I swayed through the hour long hot shower. I friend told me it would help and I think it did. I was busy blowing drying my hair between contractions when they really started to hurt and I went and told Brandon to hurry up they were starting to hurt so I wanted to leave soon. Brandon got everything ready and in the car while I finished blow drying and got dressed. Then Brandon gave me a blessing and we got in the car. It was a horrible drive as contractions were coming quickly and each jostle really hurt. When we arrived at the hospital we stopped every minute it felt to sway through a contraction. The guard on call that night hurried over to see if we needed help. We were good though. We took the stairs up to labor and delivery and I told the nurse at the desk. I was in labor. She, no joke, kind of rolled her eyes and said "we'll see." She showed us to a room and I stopped to sway, she waited until I got done then walked into a room. She laid out a gown and I swayed... again and started to cry. She asked what was wrong and I sniffled "Nothing, i'm find i'm just scared." She finally softened and said "Get dressed in the gown and I'll check you." I did and when she checked her demeanor completely changed and she announced "You're at a 7! Good girl you did it all on your own!" They called the anesthesiologist and my Dr. who was there for 2 other babies at the same time. I got checked again 45 minutes later and was at a 9.5! The nurse kept telling those who popped in for something or other that I was at a 9.5 and did most of it at home by myself. That's when I finally got the epidural. What a lifesaver I really liked it. However, it made progressing stop completely and 2 hours later my Dr. decided to put me on pitocin. About a half hour later I got to start pushing. I pushed for 2 hours and 41 minutes during that time I got to listen to the Dr. and the delivery nurse tell "poop jokes" I was so upset I started crying and the delivery nurse told me to stop crying. The only good part of the delivery was the resident dr. or dr. in training he was very kind and attentive and counted for me. Brandon was pretty good, too. :) Anyways, as it was getting close to three hours the Dr. started to get the vaccum ready, which I didn't want, so the sight of it must have given me the adrenaline to push her out in the next push. I can still remember her wet, warm little body through the blanket or towel that was on her. What an amazing, beautiful, emotional experience. This time the tears were happy and they whisked her away to get checked. Brandon and I were so happy and fawned over her every second. We love her so much. She was a very content and easy going baby.
Later at my checkup the Dr. told me he didn't think I would end up having a vaginal birth since the space between my ischial bones (sp?) was so tight. But now that I'd done it, it wouldn't be a problem next time. I'm grateful that he did let me push for a long time and that she came out just fine and I was able to avoid a c-section.
She's Here!!!
